Drew Fountain
In his first season with River North Dance Chicago this season, Drew began his training at the Colorado Jazz Dance Company in Colorado Springs and recently received his B.F.A. in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College. There he performed works by Larry Keigwin, Jessica Lang and Benoit-Swan Pouffer. Following graduation, Drew joined MOMIX Dance Theater and toured internationally. He has also attended summer training programs with River North Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Jacob's Pillow.
Drew grew up in Monument, Colorado and began his training at the Colorado Jazz Dance Company under the direction of Zetta Alderman. He continued his training by attending numerous summer programs with River North Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Jacob’s Pillow. While he studied at Marymount Manhattan College, he performed works by Larry Keigwin, Jessica Lang, Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Lar Lubovitch and Shen Wei. Drew graduated with a B.F.A. in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College in May 2012. After graduation, he joined MOMIX Dance Theater and toured internationally to Italy, France, and Hong Kong. Drew joined River North Dance Chicago in July 2013 and would like to thank all of his family and friends because he never would have made it to here without their support. Favorite musician: Beyonce, she’s pretty great. Things that you love: Blue, cats, musicals, traveling and Reese’s Favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon: In the park with a cup of ice coffee and a good book. Favorite meal: Pizza. I just really love pizza.
