Workshops throughout the performance season are the most accessible way to become familiar with River North Dance Chicago's iconic style, repertoire and creative process. Designed for pre-teens, teenagers and young adults at an intermediate, advanced or pre-professional level, workshops include Company repertoire, technique and SAED classes. Our series of One-Day Workshop in the winter + spring are also the perfect opportunity to audition for our Summer Training Intensives.

Each of our Summer Programs provide an immersive experience in technique, style and professional development, with unparalleled access to current and former Company members.

Each season we invite a handful of dancers to join the Company as either Summer or Season Apprentices. These are dancers who we believe have achieved the highest degree of technique and artistry, and whom we believe to have a possible future with our organization.
Summer Apprentice Program: Early July thru mid August
Summer apprentices will be completely immersed in Company life while taking Company class and working in rehearsals with the Artistic Director and Ballet Master. The conclusion of the Summer Apprenticeship is participation in the College/Pro Summer Intensive. Auditions are required at either the open Company auditions or attending one of our One-Day Workshops.
Season Apprentice Program: Early July thru late May
Company apprentices work alongside our Company dancers for the entire performance season of 35-42 weeks, working Monday thru Friday, 9:30am-4:30pm for Company class and repertoire rehearsals. You may even perform with the Company if there are injury or other casting changes. Season apprentices are a non-paying position. Apprentices are required to audition at the open Company auditions.
Auditions are for Company positions, apprenticeships, as well as applicants for our Teen and College/Pro Intensives as part of our Summer Training Program.
