Entering his third season as a Company Member, Ahmad began training at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. While in Texas, he trained extensively at the Dian Clough West Dance Center and many other institutes. He holds a BFA in Dance from Point Park University, where he studied under the direction of Susan Stowe. Ahmad has also danced professionally with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera and was the recipient of the Julia Deberson Award.

Ahmad began training at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. While in Texas, he trained extensively through the Dallas Black Dance Theater, the Debbie Allen Dance Institute and the Dian Clough West Dance Center. He holds a BFA in Dance from Point Park University, where he studied under the direction of Susan Stowe, and had the opportunity to perform works by Bill T. Jones, Robert Battle, David Parsons, Daniel Ezralow, Martha Graham, Heidi Latsky, and Kate Skarpatowska. Ahmad has previously danced professionally with the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, and in addition to concert dance work, he is a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association and has performed with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera in a number of shows including Cats, West Side Story, Oklahoma with Shirley Jones, Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby, Hairspray, The Producers and Oliver. Ahmad is also the Co-Founder of Pursuit Productions, producing and presenting the work of innovative and emerging artists. Ahmad joined River North Dance Chicago in July 2011 and would like to give a big thanks to his loving family, honest teachers, and close friends for all of their support. He is excited to be in his third season as a Company Member.
